Clay Hand building
Take a hunk of clay and pinch, pull, squeeze and carve it into the shapes of your choice. We sell our clay by the pound and have lots of tools for you to get creative with. You clay creations are fired within 2 weeks of first visit to allow for drying time. Once bisque fired, we will call you to come in glaze before 2nd firing.
Clay handbuilding is available by appointment only, please call to make your reservation at least 24 hours prior to desired visit.

Wheel Throwing
We now offer pottery wheel throwing classes! Visit our Current Classes tab for class schedule and all the details.
Once you have completed an introductory class with us, you are eligible to rent wheel time on your own to perfect your skill!

Kim Winfrey, Owner of The Pottery Nook Art Studio has been an avid arts and crafts hobbyist since a teenager. She and her two children have frequently enjoyed paint-your-own pottery activities since they were very young, teaching and cultivating a love of the arts. After an extensive career with a major telecommunications corporation, she decided to take a different direction and open her own studio. The Pottery Nook is the realization of a life-long dream to work at something she loves doing and have the opportunity to share it with others. Kim lives on Camano Island with her two sons, and the best dog ever.

Private parties
Kids love having their party at the Pottery Nook! Give us a call to make your reservation...we will decorate your space with tablecloths, balloons and birthday sign. Your guests choose their pieces from current studio inventory. Private parties and team building events are welcome, too!
Non-alcoholic refreshments and food are welcome, we do have refrigerator and freezer for party use if needed.
Glass Fusing
Come in and experience the art of fused glass! We offer fused glass classes periodically, or you may create with glass on your own by appointment only Tuesday-Friday.

Paint your own pottery
We are an all inclusive paint your own pottery studio, the price you pay for bisque includes all decorating supplies, brushes, paint, glaze and firing. Leave the clean up to us and your work of art will be ready to pick up in about a week.
Canvas Painting
The Pottery Nook is not currently offering canvas painting classes.
We DO offer canvas painting to go!
Each kit includes pre-traced canvas, step-by-step instructions, paint and brushes if you need them.
